Dr. Gilbert has been practicing Sleep Medicine, treating a full spectrum of sleep disorders in the Phoenix area since 1995. 

He has been the Medical Director of three Sleep Clinics and was the medical consultant for the 

creation of a Sleep Center for older adults.

Since 2007, Dr. Gilbert has had a private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona focusing on insomnia and its psychological and behavioral causes. This focus has enabled Dr. Gilbert to become an expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).

Dr. Gilbert remains one of only about 40 physicians in North America, and the only physician in Arizona, who has additional certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine.

 Insomnia evaluation, diagnosis and treatment (including CBT-I) are also offered through  Telemedicine (live web-based video) to patients in Arizona and California.
